Over four days from November 29-December 2, the Blip Festival took place at the Atelier Gallery in Chelsea in New York.
The festival, organized by The Tank’s curator Mike Rosenthal, showcased artists from an emerging music scene called chiptune. These musicians take old video consoles – Commodore 64, Gameboy, Atari – and re-jig its circuitry, either through sampling or manipulation, to make music.
